Keyboard closes while typing in the search bar - when using gesture navigation

Description of the issue:

If gesture navigation is active on the android device, the search bar experience is bugged, keyboard closes automatically if you press between the spacebar and the bottom of the display.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Use gesture navigation on android
  2. Open brave browser and press on searchbar to open the keyboard for searching
  3. Press between the space bar and the bottom of the display, keyboard will automatically close.

Expected result:

Keyboard doesn’t close while typing in the search bar.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave 1.76.81, Chromium 134.0.6998.166

Could anyone take a look at this please?

It’s really annoying, you type something, very easy to press in the wrong place and keyboard closes.
On top of that you also lose everything you typed so far and need to type again.

Please backup your data; and then . . .

Please update your Brave Browser (Android) installation. Latest stable release:

Release v1.77.97 (Chromium 135.0.7049.84)

PS. I use a text editor app, for creating and editing (and then copy and paste into the browser field). That helps prevent loss of all that work.
