Description of the issue:
I’ve been using Kaspersky for over 10 years now and until the latest Brave Browser update everything was working just fine. Lately I start getting a pop-up Kaspersky message about Brave trying to access my webcam. This message appear every few seconds and it is becoming really annoying. I did uninstall brave and reinstalled it but nothing changes!
How can this issue be reproduced?
Just install Kaspersky and update the Brave browser to its latest version.

@EGYXee we have seen similar issues before and they’re usually never Brave and the camera is never actually being accessed – either an issue with some specific software, with Chromium engine or an extension.
One way you can check this outside of Kaspersky on Windows is to launch Brave, then in Windows go to Settings --> Privacy --> Camera (under App permissions) and scroll down to the Allow desktop apps to access your camera option. You’ll see a list of apps allowed to access the camera, and if it is currently in use, you will see a Currently in use notifier on the Brave app (or any app that is using the camera):
