I've messed up with my passcode

I think I’ve messed up. I got the bright idea to set a passcode, just in case my computer got stolen, but now it’s on the verge of locking ME out of my stuff. The fingerprint scanner doesn’t work, it sends me to my phone where I do have an authenticator, but it doesn’t give me anywhere to enter the code, now it wants me to plug in a device, and I have nothing like that. I thought I had deleted the passcode option in Brave settings, but it just asked me again for a passcode. How do I just eliminate the silly thing and I’ll just use a physical lock on my computer.
