Or just a fart in the wind?
Why do you close topics without resolving them? I have found another problem but since you don’t even fix something that takes literally less than 10 minutes, I won’t even report it.

then why waiste the time to write this message? seems silly to me haha
Why do you go more than a month without replying to say it’s still an issue after updates or to remind people? I mean, there are millions of users and tons of topics that get created. Typically when a person fails to return within 30 days, the issue has either resolved or the person has moved on. And when left open, people necro stuff and often go way far off topic.
Certainly isn’t enough time to go around constantly looking to find out who is still around and having issues. Time and attention go to people who are actively posting and giving updates.
Takes a lot longer than that. If you think it’s so easy, I challenge you to go change it. You know that Brave is open source, so nothing is stopping you from “fixing something that takes literally less than 10 minutes.”
What would you say if I told you this issue was fixed and that there is a setting to it? (Well, believe that’s the case from Github as you can see in screenshots below. I don’t have Android to test on, but…if not live then it’s definitely been in the works)
It certainly isn’t fixed on the device I reported it for, over a month and a half ago. And of course I have updated to the most recent version.
And the last message on that thread is “I have surfaced it to the team”, that’s it, no other update.
No estimate or deadline or anything as to when it is expected to be fixed or looked at.
While I still keep having that problem.
And when I visit again to check if there’s any update or to bump it up, the thread is closed.
The next issue I found would probably take much longer to fix so it isn’t even worth reporting. But keep your high horse and claiming it is fixed, I’m sure that works, maybe.
Exactly! I’m on the same version as Altin but on Android 14. If Github has a beta version that can turn OFF this infuriating closed-tab-undo notification, that covers up my open tab’s controls for nearly a full minute (HINT, Brave: I don’t need more than 5-7 seconds to reconsider closing a tab and I can always restore it from history), please post the link to the beta and I’ll have that sucker on my phone TODAY. This is the one critical flaw in Brave; it’s a stupid simple fix; and reflects poorly on the entire development team that it’s been unresolved for years.
UPDATE: I went to Google Play Store and installed Brave (Nightly). The show undo switch that Saoiray posted IS there. I turned that switch OFF and the closed-tab-undo notification disappeared! Hallelujah!
Thanks for checking that @The_Chief. I’m curious what version it will land on, but at least we know it’s making its way up.
@altin you might want to try to slow down, think, and listen to people rather than just jump straight to having attitudes. As you can see by other person, it’s on its way. We know at least it works in Nightly. Not sure about Beta.
Let’s look back at what I said:
Notice there how I said if it’s not live, it’s definitely in the works? I also informed you I don’t have an Android to test on. So not speaking to you on a “high horse” but I am having to deal with you who has an entitled attitude.
Correct. You made a complaint and they said would let the team know. They never promised to come back to give you an update or anything. You made a request and they acknowledged they heard it. That’s it.
They never have a timeline for much of anything. They are a small team. They hear us out and work on things. They often have to bounce between a lot of little details and things get shelved.
Your complaint here is just a minor issue. It doesn’t break anything. Therefore it is a very low priority. Doesn’t mean isn’t being handled, as it’s shown that they were working on it, but it just means it’s not going to get the time and attention as any of the larger issues like perhaps one causing the browser to crash.
Right, because you were gone for a long period of time with nothing more to add. 100% on you. When you created the topic or responded to people, you should have seen the message that appears on the bottom, such as:
If you don’t come back in that month from the last reply, it’s obvious it’s going to be closed. It’s not like that’s hidden away and you had no clue it was coming. And if you truly didn’t have a clue, then it just means you really don’t pay any attention to things.
Yeah yeah. I mean, is this really supposed to get anyone to freak out? “Oh no, they aren’t going to tell us about an issue they are having! The world is going to end if we can’t make things perfect for altin. With millions of users, they alone hold the power to provide feedback!”
Lmao. Yes, I’m doing wrong by biting back at you in the same way you’re acting. But every once in a while I get it in me to throw the attitude right back at people. Essentially just blowing your fart back at you.
At least the people at Brave heard you out and started working on things.
Don’t freak out, I came here to report this other issue and found out the older issue was closed.
Instead of holding lectures, be more efficient and nobody will complain.
