Is it normal for Brave to NOT be responsive for certain sites temporarily if we don't reboot PC?

So, this might be kinda dumb question.

I have been facing weird problem in Brave since a few days. Some websites, randomly, would stop loading for a while. Sometimes, even my router’s page (192.168.1.1) would not load before I wait for like 10-30 seconds.

It worked fine on other browsers, so I was worried, since Brave overall always worked the fastest for me.

Today, after I installed a certain software (completely unrelated to browsers or internet, in case you wanna know), I had to reboot the computer. And ever since I rebooted, I have not faced that slowness issue.

Now, it is not like I do not turn off my computer. I turn it off every night, sometimes multiple times a day. However, as you might be aware that Windows enables Fast Start-up by default, which means, the computer is never completely turned off, unless we “restart” it.

So, I was wondering if there is actually any such known issue, or I was just lucky here.

And yes, I am aware that even if that actually fixed some kinda issue, if it is not a known bug, you can’t tell me that reboot fixed it for me.

@Archer sometimes cache or cookies can cause issues. Also as you do updates to drivers or software, it helps to restart.

Leaving computers on or simply putting in sleep mode (which I think you are doing), would keep everything running and never clear out session cache. Eventually those could get big enough to slow down your computer or it might try to load something old from cache that no longer is valid.

You should reboot a computer at least once every 3-4 months at the longest. Ideally should do more than that if possible.

So is it normal? Not really. But when left alone it does increase the chances for issues.
