i will comment only on the anonymity part of the question
tor browser is way better than brave when you using the tor network
imagine you using 5 extension on your browser and you the only one of there is few person use those 5 extension together no it so easy to know that you the same person no matter what browser you use
now most people who use tor use the onion browser who way more than the user who use tor using brave that allow you to be among bigger amount of people which give you better annomity
also an advice do not install any extension when using tor or edit the configuration as it make your fingerprint more obvious than the other people
