iPad only opens in private mode

From looking at old issues this seems to have been fixed about a year ago but since it’s closed I can’t comment. Every time I open Brave on iPad it opens in private mode. I have not recently updated anything, just started doing it this morn. I do not have set to open in private mode.

Additional Information: I can manually turn on private mode then shut it off and it stays in normal mode until I shut down Brave

@Housm89 just to make sure, can you please confirm that you do not have Private browsing only mode enabled under Settings --> Brave Shields & Privacy?

Yes, I have confirmed that private browsing only is toggled off. The only change I’ve made somewhat recently is to auto shred at app closing.

Yes, thanks, have tried that numerous times, no change. I also noticed this morning, after closing YouTube video the audio (no video) continues to play until I close out of Brave. I figured out how to save bookmarks this morn., but how do I save favorites and logins if I want to just delete Brave app and try to start over?

Problem solved! Delete Brave and start all over. Researching this has been a total time s*ck but thank you for having sync, saved a lot of work.

Delete Brave and start over? For some of us that’s not an option nor should it be. This bug should be fixed and released as an update. Deleting and starting over is BS. Fixing the code, which is OSS, is the right answer here.
