iOS: since ability to disable web compatibility feature removed, playlist no longer works

Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.

Description of the issue:

On iOS 18.3.1 in brave 1.75 (179), I can no longer use the playlist function at least with YouTube, since the ability to, within the playlist settings, turn on a compatibility toggle that disabled a feature that I can’t remember the name of right now. Without it turned on I couldn’t use the playlist feature, I could add videos but they wouldn’t play, whether or not I chose to download them. I’m not sure what update caused this, but the compatibility feature has since been disabled, and I can’t use the playlist anymore. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any solution?

How can this issue be reproduced?

Attempt to use playlist on iOS on latest installation with YouTube

Expected result:

The video is added but doesn’t play

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.75 (179)

Mobile Device details

iPhone 13 iOS 18.3.1

Additional Information:

Update: I’ve found a workaround but I’m not sure how it’s working, turning off “highest quality playback” in media settings and then using YouTube in incognito mode makes the playlist function as intended

I just tested with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have no issue.

I know what you’re talking about and I forget what it was. I know it is gone like what you’re saying but everything seems to play well without it
