IOS app shares referrer URL not current page

This is particularly noticeable when using a search engine, especially DuckDuckGo.
Method:
New tab
Do search
Follow one link
Use share to Copy current link
Paste it somewhere => you’ll see an outgoing DDG URL
Click in the Brave location bar, select all, copy
Paste it somewhere => you’ll see an outgoing DDG URL

There’s some indication this might only be the first time of following an outbound link. Repeating the search and following the same page did not exhibit the same problem, but following another result did.
Other search engines not tested.

Update: by facilitating inadvertent sharing of search-engine outgoing links, this bug means Brave facilitates leaking the user’s search-engine of choice. Ironic.

I see this has been posted and ignored twice before. The problem is still live.

@Spodzone,
Here is how I attempted to reproduce this:

  1. Open Brave on iOS in a new tab
  2. Search on DDG for Khan Academy
  3. Click on a link that leads to the KA website.
  4. Menu --> Share --> Copy
  5. Paste into blank text message – this produces the URL https://www.khanacademy.org/math
  6. Return to Brave and Select all --> Copy the URL in the address bar.
  7. Paste into blank text message – this produces the URL https://www.khanacademy.org/math

The only way I can copy a DDG URL in this context is if I run the search, then on the DDG search results page, Menu --> Share --> Copy, but this would be expected behavior. Is there something I’m doing wrong in the steps to reproduce the issue you’re seeing?
