2 problems:
Problem 1:
Getting Internal Sync Setup error when trying to connect my PC to chain
Steps
Go to brave://settings/braveSync/setup
Click on “I have a Sync Code”
Enter the sync code retrieved from another device already in the Sync Chain
I receive the “Internal sync set-up error”
Problem 2:
Since syncing to a existing chain didn’t work I wanted to start a new chain from the PC. After scanning the code with my phone it connects but the “Sync dialog” doesn’t go away and the “OK” button doesn’t work.

@highnoon1312 do note that official support is generally inactive during weekends or American holidays.
Going to get one of our Sync team members to respond here as I’m not entirely clear why this error is showing at this point in the process.

Hello @highnoon1312 high ,
On problem #1:
It seems the error came from https://github.com/brave/brave-core/blob/master/browser/ui/webui/settings/brave_sync_handler.cc#L234 which is very strange, normally we must always get SyncService.
Could you please provide the screenshot of brave://sync-internals? Maybe it will help to figure out what is going on.
Also I suspect that SyncServiceFactory::IsSyncAllowed somehow gave false in this case.
On problem #2:
So create new sync chain on PC suceeded?
Could you also provide the screenshot of brave://sync-internals page from the phone after re-launch the browser?

Problem 1:
Here it is after trying to sync to my “old” chain (which is still active on my Macbook and iPad):
Problem 2:
So creating the new chain succeeded as my phone connected to it, but the PC isn’t connected to it.
After creating a new one on PC (which still isn’t showing the one I created from there…), this is the screenshot of my phone after connecting to it:

@highnoon1312 , thanks. The screenshot of sync-internals from PC looks ok.
So I need to ask you about 3 things:
Are there any non-default flags at brave://flags/ ?
Could you please open brave://prefs-internals/ and check "managed":
pref at "sync": {
section?
"sync": {
...
"managed": false,
...
},
Could you please provide your Command Line
section from brave://version/? If there is disable-sync
key somehow, it can have the effect you see on PC.

All the info you have provided looks as expected. For now I don’t know why the issue takes place. I will reach you when I’ll have more ideas.
