Interactively change settings via the interface

When faced with some inconvenience of the interface, you often have to go into the general settings and look for the corresponding option - this is inconvenient, especially since there are many options, the name of the option is not always obvious. Examples: the “Brave Shields” button to the right of the address bar, or the output of news on the start page. It would be convenient if the options corresponding to these functions were available directly in the interface of these functions. For example, for the “Brave Shields” button - when you click on it, a block with settings appears in which you can add a checkbox “show the number of blocked items”, which in the general settings is located in “Shields / Show the number of blocked items on the Shields icon”. And the news block could be disabled, if desired, not only through the “Customize” button on the right at the bottom of the start page, but directly in the news block interface (for example, when you hover over the block, a gear icon appears, when you click on it in the pop-up frame, you can turn off the output of the news block).
