Insecure Download Blocked

Description of the issue:

click on link to download file

popup appears, "Insecure Download Blocked. This site isn’t using a secure connection and the file may have been tampered with. (Learn why Brave blocks some downloads) [ doesn’t explain this issue there ]

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Click on a link to download a file

Expected result:

File downloads without user intervention

Brave Version( check About Brave):

123.0.6312.86 (official build) (x86_64)

Additional Information:

I realise that you may have included this to protect users. However I regularly download files from this site. It is well known to me and reliable.
I want to download files from it without intervention.

Please tell me how to white list this site so that I can download from it without insecure download blocked occurring.

Can you please update the browser to the latest build and confirm that you are still encountering this issue after updating?

Additionally, can you please tell me what the site you’re trying to download the file from is so that I can test on my end?

Thank you for the URL.
So I can reproduce this as well. Looks like we have an open issue for this here:

Add a whitelist for downloading files from non-SSL web sites

The browser is performing as expected and, as you said, this feature is there to protect you from malicious sites/downloads. However, users should have the ability to whitelist certain sites that are known to be safe. I’ve added your report to the Github issue for review.
