Input history entries cannot be clicked

Since a few weeks on Brave Beta, the input history of an input field (such as a search form or login form) does not work. It appears and shows all of the input history, but none of the entries can be clicked. When trying to click an entry, it counts it as a sliding event, and will never actually select the clicked entry to fill the form field.

Tested using Brave Beta 1.33.94, Chromium 96.0.4664.45.
Device used is a Nubia Red Magic 5G, running on Android 11 (stock firmware at the latest version).

I have done some more testing, and it seems that it does work sometimes, but is extremely unreliable.
When clicking one of the entries in very rapid succession, it seems that it will sometimes work randomly.
I have attached a screen recording displaying the problem.
