Good Day:
Recently I have seen an increased number of services being spawned in the Activity Monitor of the OSX platform on Mac. There are sometimes dozens of these and their number seem to be more than extensions and tabs opened. These also persist in the services dashboard of the Activity monitor long after tabs are closed, etc…sometimes for days unless cleared out manually.
Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open and use Brave browser on Mac OSX Big Sur (11.2.3)
- Use the browser normally
- View OSX Activity Monitor and notice multiple spawned event services
- View over time to see that they persist unless the browser is closed or manual intervention is performed (i.e. to Force Quite the services)
