Tagging @mattches to take a look. I could not find anything current at Brave GitHub or by doing a web search. Posted an open issue report from 2020 below, no idea if it relates. Seems like other users would be reporting this, especially if it is happening in multiple browsers and not just Brave. I didn’t ask, figured you weren’t, still… are you using a VPN?
In the meantime, posting some previous topics that have some troubleshooting information you might want to check. Various OS but the basics should be the same. Maybe something is happening that is unique to your installation? I am using windows and maps/location are working as intended.
Following on from these threads here and here . The location services are still not fixed.
It only happens on Brave… Chrome, Edge, etc all return the correct location for me, but Brave puts me in the other end of the country.
Happy to provide logs or anything required, but as this has been reported a couple of times, can this please be looked in to?
EDIT:
Description of the issue:
When using any website which uses location services (such as google maps), the location services are incorrect.
…
Reminding the issue: Location Services are wrong
With version 1.25.68 Chromium: 91.0.4472.77 (Offizieller Build) (x86_64) the flag for “Core Location Backend” is gone from Brave flags and as a result the location-service won’t get the correct location.

Re-enable Core Location Backend in Brave flags. That solution worked pretty well.

In order to reduce the load on `location.brave.com` and improve accuracy for the… [GeoLocation API](https://www.w3.org/TR/geolocation-API/), we should take advantage of platform location services where they exist, just like we do on [Android](https://github.com/brave/browser-android-tabs/issues/2564#issuecomment-587967714) and [iOS](https://github.com/brave/brave-ios/issues/2343#issuecomment-591612826).
Such services exist on all of our supported platforms:
- Windows: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/uwp/api/Windows.Devices.Geolocation
- macOS: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corelocation
- Linux: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/geoclue/geoclue/-/wikis/home
though maybe not all versions of Windows and all Linux distros will have such facilities available. When it's not available, the geoip fallback service at `location.brave.com` should be used.
User-facing documentation for these location services is also available:
