"Import Bookmarks now.." not go away after import

Description of the issue:
‘Import Bookmarks now’ visible even when bookmarks were imported

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  • Open New Tab
  • On the Top you see notification “Import Bookmarks now” on the top
  • click on it and choose Safari
  • start import
  • close import dialog
  • notification still existent

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
'Import Bookmarks now" will stay on top

Expected result:
Notification disappear

Reproduces how often:
always

Brave Version(about:brave):
0.57.18

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):

We recently released an update to version 0.58.16, can you try updating and tell me if the problem persists?

Just upgraded but issue stays the same. I imported safari bookmarks again an notification stays on top

If you have bookmarks located on the bookmarks bar, this message should go away. If you dont (or don’t want to), simply close the bookmarks bar.

Hit ctrl + shift + b (cmd + shift + b for macOS) to close the bm bar.

Ah ok now I got it how it works. Even if I hide Bookmark bar the new tap shows the bookmark bar but when there is no bookmark in the bookmark bar folder Brave offers me to import bookmarks. Better would be to complete hide bookmark bar, means from new tab as well.
