I'm guessing redesigning the WebTorrent functionality is no longer actively under development?

I have to say, I agree with this guy 100%. I just downloaded a 10GB file and pressed stop torrent, then it deleted the file from memory and I have to redownload it all again. I think it’s as simple as pressing the Stop Torrent button and having a warning that says your “It looks like you haven’t downloaded your file yet, would you like to download it now? If you continue without downloading your entire torrent will be discarded - Download/Discard button here”.

Very frustrating.

@Mattches shared this link saying something was in the works in 2019, but it’s just a 404 now.

@CodeBradley unfortunately I believe that in the last couple of years it’s been decided that we’re going the opposite direction with it. I believe the built-in Webtorrent extension will actually be removed from the browser by default. I believe this is planned for a 1.80x release (likely towards the end of June).
