I opened Brave this morning to find I have no tabs. Lost about 50 tabs. Is there any way to bring back the old History?

When I opened my Browser this morning all of the tabs (50) had disappeared and the History was gone. All of it. Is there a backup history I can tap into to restore?

Establish a maintenance routine for backing up the Brave-Browser folder:

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/

Thereby having a recent source of data, for example, the History file:

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default/History

@hwj40a1345 Does your browser look like it’s an enitrely fresh install? Or is it just tabs/history that aren’t appearing but everything else (bookmarks, NTP top-sites/favorites, passwords, etc) is still intact?

The second one. I have all mybookmarks.

  • Do you have any extensions installed in the browser?
  • Do you have Brave Sync enabled at this time?
  • Is your entire browser history wiped, or just your opened tabs? So if you go to brave://history/ you see nothing (minus any history you’ve accrued since noting the issue)?

No extensions installed. Not using Sync at the moment.

The entire old browsing history is wiped clean.

I am having the same issue as OP except ALL of my history since yesterday afternoon (when brave crashed) has disappeared. Tabs/history/frequent sites I have had since I started using Brave several years ago - very frustrating. Please help.
