There’s not always ads for it. They have “inline ads” which are for Brave News, then they have SI which are shown as NTP ads, and finally you have PN for notifications. The average ad is shown as PN, with occasional SI.
If you go to https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ you can view which campaigns and ad types are in your area. Look for the ones that say IC as they are the ones that would show in Brave News. Then, look to see which OS they target, as sometimes they can specify things like “Linux only.”
Also, remember that you’re not guaranteed ads each time you open Brave News. In one example I said it’s like rolling dice, but let me be more clear. It’s like every time you open a page it flips 3-5 coins. In order to show you an ad, all coins must land on Tails. If any land on Heads, you don’t get to see the ad. It does this every time you load the page and scroll into content.
The same works for Push Notifications and others as well. They have to wait until coins are collecting and then flip, only sending you an ad notification once they all match. In a way, it’s kind of like a lottery. How often it all happens depends on how much your computer is running, how long you’ve been using Rewards, and how much you’re actually using your computer/device.
Just let me confirm. Are you saying you get all the other ads but you’re just not seeing Brave News ads?
Yes, I was just not seeing ads on Brave News. But after I shared this, I saw 2 ads. I used to see a lot more ads before then I stopped seeing them completely.
