I have verified Gemini account. Unable to link Gemini with the Verified Brave Rewards button

In Brave Rewards options, when I click on Link With Gemini or the Verified button, it opens the Gemini page, logs me in but then displays the notification “region is not supported”

That can’t be right, because my son is verified and his Gemini-Brave link works.
