I have no option for rewards in my brave browser

So I downloaded the app with the hopes of earning some BAT while I use the internet and although Brave has increased my internet speed there has not been an option in my search bar ( where the lion head is, download, and bookmark are - like so many displays I have seen) I think it’s called a widget and it’s supposed to be in the shape of a triangle; well this option does not exist for me. The closest I have come to solving this issue is through attempting to create a Binances account but if possible I would like to avoid this due to it’s overbearing and invaisive nature of this app. It expected things like my full social and drivers license and pics and stuff and just seemed about scetchy in general. All the searches I have done convince me I’m crazy and the only one having this problem and that rewards are always right there.
