I didnt earn any rewards for december, but used the browser like every other month? I updated the browser a couple days ago and it still does not show any rewards earned?
Same here. Enabled rewards ads on every desktop I own, browsed with them for the entire month of December and didn’t get anything.
@usmiltho and @glomar_response which way are you referring to? Keep in mind that payouts don’t begin until around the 7th of the month. We get paid here in January for everything we viewed last month. It’s how things have been since Rewards started, so it shouldn’t be anything new.
And if you’re referring to the Estimated Earnings
portion, that’s been announced in many places that it was going away. For example:

I think what keeps causing the confusion is while the payouts don’t necessarily come until the 7th of each month, when clicking on the Rewards icon, we get the below notif.
It says the payout has been completed, when it in fact hasn’t been completed, right?
@glomar_response that notice has been on my Rewards thing for weeks. I’m trying to remember if it ever did go away last month. Regardless, that has never been accurate. It usually just indicates the next payout period is beginning. Usually it triggers on the 7th (8th if you’re near India) of each month, regardless of whether you received anything yet.
But yes, there’s a lot of strange things about the UX for Brave, especially for Rewards. I’m hoping one day @chriscat can get the team to do something a lot better and cleaner. Perhaps it’s something that is on its way with all of the other proposed changes hinted at here for this year.
Seeing as I’m fairly new to the Rewards life, I was not aware that wasn’t accurate. So for new-joiners to the Rewards program, this can be misleading and cause confusion, disheartening, and cause people to leave the Rewards program prematurely (unlikely to go back in and do the work to set it back up if they should notice their earned BAT later on).
I agree the UX and even the UI for Rewards could use an overhaul. Would love to work on it, but industry sucks right now, so makes it impossible to actually get hired (even with experience) unless you have 10-15 years of experience.
I have not earned any rewards since August 4th, 2023. This entire time, I have been using Brave and the Uphold wallet. Reward dispersal was also very intermittent before then.
