So I’m getting the side by side configuration error message as well. What’s going on. I can’t find any useful responses and I don’t understand how this works. I like this browser and want to keep it, but help shouldn’t be this hard. Why isn’t there a just a list? I tried entering side by side and it came up, no reponses, but there are issues only no answers that I could find. I’m running Windows 13 on a Lenovo Thinkpad, nothing extraordinary. I’m 70 years old. I installed a Brave app in September of 2024.

@jujubonn thank you for reaching out to us here. Apologies for any troubles you’ve encountered up to this point.
To start, can you please elaborate a bit on the error message(s) you’re seeing? I’m not entirely familiar what such an error message in the browser. When searching, I do see that there is a Windows “side by side configuration” error and I’m wondering if perhaps this is what you’re describing?
If so, then this is a known Windows issue that can occur across many different applications. Below, I’ve linked a useful step-by-step video tutorial that will guide you through all the potential fixes you might try to get this error resolved.
NOTE: At the end of the video, the last thing suggested is to reset your PC to resolve the issue — do not do this. If you try all the steps before that and it still doesn’t resolve the issue, please reply back here and let me know and we can look for additional troubleshooting options.
