caseystubbs,

Believe it or not, I am trying to rescue your issue and report to the Brave Community.

Please hang in there, and my apologies for not having perfect eyesight, but:

Some members of Brave Support, will likely want to consider your issue, while trying to view your information via an iPhone.

Re your video presentation, you have so many tabs open, and that, plus the resolution . . . (I am not using a big desktop display) . . . apparently you are using Full Screen . . . I can barely make out that your Internet browser being used, is Brave Browser . . . and some of the print is so tiny, I can just barely read it, or not.

The Brave Community, is where bug reports, issues, problems, and troubles with Brave software, are made.

But, this forum is not a “Brave Software Support Service Desk,” where a report is entered into an INBOX and picked up by the next available Brave Support member. (Though many who are new to this forum, wish. I did, until I finally began to dig in and study how things seem to work around here.)

Now, I am certain that Brave Support will need more details, a more complete story, and steps involved. You have to take the time to provide information in writing.

Everything about your issue, that you can state, helps Brave Support to spend less time doing your digging and research, and therefore more time for Brave Support to consider your situation.

In order for Brave Support to help you, they much prefer that you will use their outline:

Description of the issue:

How can this issue be reproduced?

Expected result:

Brave Version: (other than “latest update”)

Additional Information:

Such as, your computer model, your computer OS, what extensions you may have added to Brave Browser, and what is the status of each extension (Enabled / Disabled / Loads, or not, at startup / etc). Do you usually open a “New Window” or a “New Private Window” when you browse and visit websites?

Re your video at:

https://winnersedge.screencasthost.com/watch/c3njoBVDsW8

Your Brave Browser is connected to a web page at website:

https://basicattentiontoken.org/

You say that you are trying to get your website connected to Brave. But in your video, it looks more like, you are trying to make a connection between your website and a Brave Rewards feature:

Creators get paid for making great content

In other words, setting aside any Brave Rewards / Ads / Creators / Payments / Wallets issues, it is clear (near the end of your video), that you can simply make an HTTPS connection via your Brave Browser, to your website.

And, I just used Brave Browser for Mac OS, and connected to your website:

https://tradingstrategyguides.com/

And, I can verify that one Wordpress cookie was set, and I found info re your digital cert.:

SSL_cert_for_tradingstrategies.com

Confirming that my Brave Browser made an HTTPS connection - no error.

In the first display window, of your video, the text in the window says:

Hello. It looks like you are using WordPress!

Your domain is using HTTPS.

  1. Install the plugin that makes the entire process a snap.

(Plugin location: https://wordpress.org/plugins/brave-payments-verification/)

  1. Copy the verification code below into the plugin.

Verfication code:

[UNREADABLE]

  1. Once the code is pasted in, click verify.

Note: this process may take a few minutes to several hours depending on where your site is hosted.

(Verify) button (Complete Verfication Later) button

Brave now has its own search engine

https://search.brave.com/

and that is a good place to search re issues and topics.

PS. I just used my Brave Browser to visit:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/brave-payments-verification/

One of the first statements by Wordpress, there:

“This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”

Huh . . . there is a Reviews (for the plugin) section, and one review of interest:

https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-working-on-wordpress/

Where the reviewer states:

“Not working on Wordpress”

and gives the “brave-payments-verification” plugin 1 star.

Using the Brave Search Engine (URL address, above), I found:

“Wordpress: impossible to verify site with Brave plugin”

https://www.macheronte.com/en/wordpress-impossible-to-verify-site-with-brave-plugin/

My search criteria: “issues with ‘brave-payments-verification’ plugin”

Ok so your saying the plugin doesnt work, ok i will try another verification method.
