Plus they deleted historical page about the embarrassment of Canadian parliament with the standing ovation to the Waffen SS Nazi “hero”. They said at first that the page was considered for deletion, and then sometime later I checked and it was deleted.
F them.
facepalm
I’m going to quote this information from Wikipedia itself. “As a technical action, deletion can only be done by a subset of editors assigned particular specialized privileges by the community, called administrators . An omission that has been carried out can be contested by appeal to the deleting administrator or on another discussion board called Deletion review (DRV).” - so, NO, it cannot be deleted by just anyone in the world.
Also, there were a huge amount of people who appealed the deletion of the page. Nobody cared.
Again, it wasn’t the Wikipedia organization that did that. It was the administrators of the page, who can be virtually anyone in the world, but they almost certainly don’t work for Wikipedia. Claiming Wikipedia is responsible for your issues with that behavior is exactly like if I were to criticize Brave because of your replies side-tracking this issue about my inability to send payments.
If you think that an NGO wasn’t pressured to remove that page, then you should definitely donate.
As I said in my initial reply, they don’t actually need your money, and 2nd, see what NGO’s are spending the money on. But you do you, mate.
Oh, thank you, random, anonymous, conspiratorial person on the internet, for giving me your approval to live my life by my own priorities and motivations. I’m so relieved. I’m going to take that as blanket approval so that I no longer have to pass my decisions by your overblown misunderstandings of the workings of the world before I can proceed with my own life. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
