I am in Spain. Why do I get an error about the awards not being available?
If you don’t have a connected custodial account I don’t think you can get BAT any more, there have been some changes in recent months. If you are connected to a custodian:
- Which custodian are you with - Uphold or Gemini?
- Did you use your Spanish ID to verify your custodian account with Uphold or Gemini?
- Is the rewards country on your browser set to Spain? You can check here: brave://rewards-internals/
- The country on the ID you used for #2 needs to match the country you chose for #3. If they don’t match, you will need to reverify with the custodian using your Spanish ID and/or reset Brave browser (you will lose any BAT held on the browser, but not any BAT held at Uphold/Gemini) to change country to Spain.
- Do you use a VPN?
