Huge issue to connect with Tor

As of today I have huge issues establishing a Tor window

  1. start Brave
  2. new Tor window
  3. it takes around 5 minutes to establish Tor connection
  4. try to open for example Proton.me-onion - site loads endless
  5. shutting down Brave and restart won’t change anything

Other example:

  1. after Tor connected do a search within the address-bar. Brave-search enabled
  2. after minutes I get a “site not available”
  3. after another more minutes the site with the search results comes up an needs another 5 minutes to end loading

Expected result: better Tor connectivity

Brave Version 1.39.111 Chromium: 102.0.5005.61 (Offizieller Build) (x86_64)

Am I alone with this behavior? Can I troubleshoot this?

Thanks for writing in @thommes! Is this still an issue for you? Just tested on my end and was able to establish a connection.

Hello @steeven and thanks for the feedback. No, it’s not. Feels a little lame but works now. I remembered that one shouldn’t work with Brave Private with Tor while Firefox is opened the same time. Remembering something like Brave is using some kind of Firefox functionality and an active Firefox at the same time may cause issues. Is that a tale or potentially my issue today?
