Version 1.65.132, When I scroll through Twitter or YT I get insane temp spikes, it’ll go all the way up to like 70 something then quickly go back down. It’s especially bad on Twitter. I tested on Firefox and this does not happen on there, it does spike a bit on Firefox but not even close to as badly as on Brave.
What could this be caused by? I have no big CPU temp issues otherwise so it seems this is something to do with Brave pushing the CPU way harder than it needs to when doing simple things.
Do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled? This sometimes causes problems independently of the Browser, more than once my problems were caused by that. You also have to know that YouTube, Twitter (X) and Facebook, talking about the pages, consume a lot of resources, like CPU, RAM, etc…
If I’m honest I also experience these problems, even with HA disabled, mostly on YT; but I decided to use a 3rd party program to watch videos, or download them in maximum quality, as little is said that Google itself makes certain browsers that use Adblock, integrated or not, consume resources in a way, CPU and RAM, exaggerated; as Brave, Edge, Firefox, etc…
I have looked for solutions but there is no way to solve it, your case may be different but that is the information that I understand of what happens with YT, with Twitter I could not tell you.
