Https://account.brave.com does not load input fields to authenticate on iOS

Description of the issue:

Cannot log into Brave account from Brave iOS app.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Navigate to https://account.brave.com
  2. Account page doesn’t load with input fields

Expected result:

Access to my account. Required to link VPN purchase between Desktop and iOS device.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.67 (127)

Mobile Device details

iPhone 15 Pro iOS version 17.6.1

Additional Information:

Account page loads in Safari and other browsers on my mobile device. I have tried the following:

  • Opening in Private
  • Disabling Shields
  • Disconnecting from Wi-Fi
  • Double checking I have no firewall, VPN, or internet security apps in place that might be blocking the connection.

@bradcstevens I went and was able to input info and it sent, allowing me to login with no issues.

Just want to make sure I’m looking at the same areas as you and understanding then issue. Did you make it past this point and you’re having problems somewhere else?

I’m not sure what more I can do to try to get the page to load properly? Very odd that I can load the account login page successfully on other browsers on my device.

Hmm, @bradcstevens that’s weird. Have you tried restarting your device?

Guess also should ask, is this the only site you’re having issues with?

I restarted my device and tried to load the page again but unfortunately still no luck. The input fields for authentication do not load.

As far as I’m aware, this is the only site I’m having an issue with. Rarely, I have run into sites occasionally where components break from Brave’s Shield, but I don’t know which sites those were.

Is there any more information regarding my device I could provide or troubleshooting steps I could take?

I’m trying to think. I was hoping it might have been a cache issue. If it was cookies, I would think it would have resolved in private window. And you’ve mentioned also testing with Shields disabled.

Hard part is a lot of things I’d suggest on Desktop can’t be done on iPhone. I was trying to mess around with mine and not replicating or finding anything to look at. Technically might be able to just clear cookies/cache yourself just in case.

But trying to think where else to guide. Might have to lean more on @steeven or @Mattches. Just tagged them in but not sure if they’ll see and respond today.

Out of curiosity, if you visit account.brave.com using another browser (any one will do), does the input field show there?

Would you be willing to do some debugging for us to see exactly what’s going on under the hood on your end? It would require a bit of setup since it’s iOS but I have a video tutorial and written instructions that will walk you through the steps.
