HowTo disable brave search

After the recent update to Brave, whenever I open a private window I no longer get a blank page. Instead I get a stylized page with a private window notification, an i button, brave styling and logo, and worst of all, an unremovable “Search the web privately” search input area.

How do I revert it back to simply a blank (as in nothing at all on it) page.

Not possible yet, but there have been a lot of complaints about it around here.
