How to turn off Tabsearch virus

Whenever searching using brave (google search engine), I press on one of the results and I get sent to a new tab called “Tabsearch” which then searches for that thing using Bing… How can I turn this off? I cant find it anywhere.

This issue could be reproduced by visiting sketchy sites

My expected result would be that when I search using brave I no longer get sent to Tabsearch on a new tab.

My Brave Version: Version 1.25.73 Chromium: 91.0.4472.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Disable your extensions and see if you still the bad behavior. If no, then yay. Turn extensions one at a time, checking for bad behavior. When you see bad behavior, delete the last enabled extension… bad extension nuked.
