On both my iPhone and my iPad, after I changed the default search engine to Startpage, whenever I open a new tab in Brave there is a big button-shaped ad for DuckDuckGo in the middle of the page blocking the beautiful wallpaper.
I haven’t found a way to turn it off. Is this a mandatory ad that we are forced to look at? Do we get paid BAT for it?
In the top right corner of DuckDuckGo’s website, or when viewing search results, there is a menu (three lines). From there click «Other Settings». Under the «General» tab, turn off «Homepage Privacy Tips» and «Install DuckDuckGo». Remember to hit «Save and Exit» at the bottom of the page.
