How to stop fuchsia highlighting links?

On some websites, some links are highlighted in the purple/fuchsia colour, and I have no idea why. I’d like to remove the highlight. I can’t understand why it’s only some of the links.

This happens to the container of each suggested video on youtube also.

I have no idea how to reproduce this, but I think it’s something to do with when I reset my shields the day before yesterday, or maybe something to do with the experimental stuff in the browser.

It definitely is not Shields that is causing this. To me, this is likely an extension issue or some other “experimental stuff” as you mentioned. Did you change any flags on the brave://flags page?
