How to set 'all files' as the default 'save as type' when saving an image file?

Version 1.22.70 Chromium: 89.0.4389.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)

How can I set ‘all files’ as the default ‘save as type’ in brave, so I can see all image types in the save as folder window?

See the screenshot? If I save a JPG, it automatically sets the folder into a mode where I can ONLY see JPG images, instead of seeing all image files. That means I have to switch to ‘all files’ every single time just to see the last images I saved in the folder that may vary by extension.

Funny, this post wants to do the exact opposite of what I want: https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/issues/8096

There has to be a way to manually set what the default is, ‘all files’ or file extension type.

@feva84,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
There is not a way to do this and it’s actually not a Brave feature. This dialog box is controlled by your OS. If you try to do the same thing in Chrome or Firefox, you’ll see the same behavior.
