How to retain logged in status for Microsoft DevOps / Microsoft login / Office.com

Microsoft DevOps is requiring a login every day. This is not happening with other browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Navigate to https://www.office.com and log in
  2. Close browser (optionally reboot)
  3. The next day, navigate to https://www.office.com again

Expected result:
User should already be logged in. This is the behavior on Edge, Firefox, and Chrome

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.67.115

Additional Information:
This just started in the past week or two

Nothing is checked in Delete Browsing Data>On Exit

I tried disabling shields on https://login.microsoftonline.com/ and the originating site, but it did not help

If Settings - Shields: “Forget me when I close this site” is enabled then click on the Brave Shields icon in the address bar and in Advanced controls disable: “Forget me when I close this site”.

It is disabled. (It may have been enabled when I first experienced the issue and disabled while searching for a solution)

It is still happening. I saw another thread where a user mentioned a similar problem with Google services when using an authenticator and not a password. That may be related - we are required to use an authenticator after logging in with a password.

Also, there are a few redirects during the login process, so that may be at play.

But for now I’ve had to switch to Chrome so that I don’t need to relogin multiple times every day
