In chrome, It used to use a bar at the bottom of the browser to display downloads. It was moved at the top near the menu with extensions. There’s a flag in chrome to re-enable it. I was wondering If it’s possible to do this In brave
To my knowledge Brave would have it if Chrome has it. When I just did a basic check on Chrome I see no such flag, but I’m not sure which name it’s going by.
All I remember is it was a discussion a while back and confirmed it’s an upstream thing through Chrome/Chromium that Brave inherited.
That’s strange. When I search download inside Chrome’s flag page, the flag “Disable download bubble” appears at the top since I set it to disabled. But when i search download in brave’s flag page, no such flag appears with a similar name.
There was a thread on this a while back, basically it looks like it’s gone forever. You are not alone in wanting it back, that’s for sure.
Oh that’s frustrating. I realized the issue, In modern chromium the flag was removed but I use a fork called thorium and In the build I use this flag exists, but In recent versions of chrome, It does not. That’s disappointing
