This annoying problem started with the last uddate of Brave (March 2024)
I dont want to divide in half my desktop screen because of the chat windows that open on the right of the video (see image below). Before the cinema mode screen of youtube was my default, but now I cant because the chat appears on the right dividing in half the screeen.
The problem is that I have to wait the chat loading to close it and then click 3 times to close the chat and resize the video to cinema mode. Who asked Brave to make that chat window open by default?
The YouTube chat takes 30 seconds to load due to a problem on Brave that has been present since at least summer 2022, and the developers aren’t willing to do anything about it. Thankfully, there is a Userscript called “Fix Brave Bug for YouTube Live Chat” that fixes it.

What is not friendly is that brave oblige me to see the chat window that I dont want to.
Brave; pls “dont load by default the chat window” Let me to choose If I want it. Youtube is not a chat app. Its a video app.
in that case it’s not a Brave problem. You can try to block the chat frame from appearing through Brave shields’ element blocker, or use 3rd party extensions/userscripts
