I am using portable Brave Browser on Windows.
How can I turn off auto-update checks (and “Update available” notification popups)?
In non-portable versions this can be done AFAIK via services stop.
But in portable version there is no corresponding Brave service.
And I found no settings.
Your best bet is to dig around in the settings to see if there’s an option to turn off automatic update checks or notifications. If not, you might have to manually check for updates instead.
