How to block the new youtube ads on the front page

The homepage of Youtube has started showing sponsored videos even on YT Premium Users, as my self.

I tried creating a custom filter to block this type of ads, but nothing I have tried has worked.

With my admittedly limited knowledge, my understanding is that I need to block the ytd-ad-slot-renderer element.

But even with the www.youtube.com##ytd-ad-slot-renderer filter (and saved changes), when I refresh the page, I get a new ad.

I am using Version 1.73.105 Chromium: 131.0.6778.265 (Official Build) (64-bit), on Windows 11 Pro Build 26100.

Any suggestions for different filters to use?

Thank you

Already blocked in the lists included in Brave;

Would clear the cookies/cache and re-login. Also check brave://components is updated.

Yeah, clearing the cookies/cache and re-loggin in did the trick. Thanks!

Edit: spoke too soon. Got again a sponsored post on the sidebar.

And all 22 components were up to date. Clicked on each individually.

Does ad show up in private window mode?

Yeah, same thing.
