How does Brave know my location if there is no tracking?

I would like to know why my location was known even though Brave is not supposed to be tracking along with my location not being on

Any website (not necessarily the browser itself) knows your approximate location from your IP. They have to do this to send any information (such as their web page) back to you. But it’s not “tracking” unless they keep a record that ties it to your identity.

For more detailed information see this ==> https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

You can partially get around this with Tor, or else use a VPN.
