Just enable ads, set to how many ads you would like to possibly get in an hour, 1-5. Note this is not guaranteed you will get this per hour, but a max possibility. And turn off auto contribution unless you do not mind automatically contributing earned BAT to publishers etc. Make sure not to use VPNs or they can flag your account. Normally using the browser as your browse etc you should start seeing ads popping up. You won’t get paid until the 5th of the month so if you just started, you will not get paid until the next date which is July 5th. That is kind of it in a nutshell.
