How do I make Brave Ads show on private browsing mode

Briefly describe your issue:

  • Hello I am not receiving any brave ads on Private Browsing mode. I only receive them on normal browsing mode. I only use Private Browsing because I care about my privacy but would still like to receive brave ads.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?

  • Windows 10 Home 21H2, 64-bit OS, x64, OS Build 19044.2728, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0
  • Brave version 1.50.114 Chromium: 112.0.5615.49 (Official build) (64-bit)

Is your Brave Rewards Profile currently verified? (yes/no)

  • I do not understand this question. What does a verified profile mean. Anyways I’ve been receiving BAT for seeing ads on regular browsing mode and do have a wallet.

What date did you connect a your Brave Rewards Profile?

  • I do not exactly remember. Apparently Brave shows this as February 2020.

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?

  • Yes, I have successfully received brave ad rewards from the past.

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)

  • No, I am not using a VPN.

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?

  • Yes.

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)?

  • I do not use android so this is not relevant to me.

You know that the only difference between normal and Private window is that Private erases cookies and other data at the end of your session, right? It’s not protecting you any more than normal window from websites or anything. You can easily set your browser up to clear data on exit if that’s an issue for you.

It is asking if you’re linked to Uphold or Gemini. If you aren’t, then you’re not a Verified user and won’t be able to earn BAT.

I’m not sure but I have earned BAT from ads. I have been earning BAT for quite some time now for seeing ads. I would have earned much more if I could have seen ads in private browsing mode.

Not actually true, the reality is more nuanced. For example there may be other settings as well that are activated or otherwise affected during private browsing. Also certain Add-Ons may lisen to if the
Anyways It’d be dumb if Brave Ads were disabled on private browsing without any feedback. I couldn’t find any info, any FAQ, any resources whatsoever on them being disabled if I have private browsing on so I assume this is a bug (or something else is off).

Anyways thanks for the help though.

This seems to be further enforced by the fact that the BAT icon next to the Brave lion icon on the right side of the URL bar is not even visible during private browsing.
