How do I get YouTube links to open in the YouTube app?

When I click on a YouTube Google result, it opens in the YouTube mobile site instead of the YouTube mobile app. How do I get it to open in the app?

Just go in Settings > App > find Youtube > Set as default > Go to supported URLs and set: In other app

Just close and re-open the app. It worked for me

Turns out it needs to be set to “in this app”.
