Hello Community!
I have “Stop Adblocker”, which Brave says contains Malware. But that is a lie. I have checked all my apps with real, i.e. professional security software. Programmers are sometimes paid to deactivate such apps. I can’t say whether this is also the case here and I don’t want to imply that it is.
Firefox, for example, makes it possible to deactivate such interventions in informational self-determination via its “about:config” so that every app can continue to function.
How can I deactivate this “filter” in Brave as well? I am not only a computer scientist, but also a security engineer and I think it is solely my business whether I have malware on my computer or not. After all, I may have installed an app for this very reason. I don’t need to be patronized. I find it particularly brazen to simply deactivate an app by using a ‘shocking keyword’. In such a case, I want detailed information about where there is supposed to be a damage. So that I can check whether it is true.
For your info: After a brief search, there is no indication anywhere on the Internet that this extension is harmful. Perhaps it is just a false report in Brave. But if not, I would appreciate it if Brave would refrain from this kind of invasive intervention in the future.
Thanx in advance.
