MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) macOS 10.14.6 (18G103).
I have multiple users on this mac. When I suspend a user and login to a different user, the CPU and GPU usage by the suspended user’s instance of Brave skyrockets. The longer the user is suspended, the higher the utilization. The suspended user’s Brave is essentially idle, as it is logged into ProtonMail, and the mail account is not receiving any mail.
I have spindumped both high cpu processes but the bug reporting system will not allow me to attach them.
I also tried pasting the spindumps into separate reply windows. However, they were rejected because it interpreted some elements of the files as containing profanity, which in reality were simply data structure names.
