High battery use when using YouTube

Description of the issue:
Last couple of days the browser has been using approx 25% battery per hour while watching YouTube and general browsing.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Tried restarting iPad, which did not fix the issue

Expected result:

Less battery use

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.44.1 (22.10.25.18)

Mobile Device details

iPad Pro (10.5-inch)
Model: MQEY2X/A
iPadOS 16.1 (20B82)

Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having trouble with Brave. Could you kindly try clearing cookies to see if this solves the issue:

  1. Click on the Menu icon in the top right, and go to Settings
  2. Select Site Settings --> Cookies

If you continue with the issue, try to reinstall Brave Browser, let me know if that works and have a nice day!
