Hiding the top horizontal toolbar in pdf

I have just switched from Safari to Brave and am delighted by some of the capabilities of Brave. However i have one major issue with pdfs. I read alot of pdf and am used to them being displayed cleanly taking up the whole window, as any html page. But there is a big toolbar at the top of the window, which is totally useless to me, and hinders greatly the ergonomy, especially as i am on a laptop, nearsighted, and bent on optimizing screen usage. Fullscreen is not interesting to me, i need multiple windows.

I searched for ways to remove it, tried every option related to pdf in brave://flags/ and looked in the settings for “pdf”. Also looked up in search engines and GPT. Eventually i found that appending the word #toolbar=0 at the end of the pdf’s URL does the job.

Then my questions are:

  1. How to automatically open pdf without the toolbar ?
  2. How to automatically open pdf filling the window - thus fitting width ?

I suppose it is not terribly difficult to delve into the code and create a “clean view” setting, that toggles that, but im not a code wizard. I may ask some AIs, but id be surprised if they could help. I will be grateful for any comment. Thank you for the great job with Brave.
