Description of the issue:
I’ve recently started using Brave browser, and one thing I’m used to in Firefox was my Equalizer always being turned on. I installed five different Equalizer extensions for Brave, while searching for an extension, which would run in the background 24/7, but all of those extensions have to be manually enabled for each new tab. And it’s irritating.
I assume that the issue isn’t with the extensions, but with how Brave is built (some protection to stop extensions from having too much power). Is there something like a config page I can edit to bypass this limitation and just have my Equalizer extension run all the time in the background for all my windows and tabs?
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- go to https://chromewebstore.google.com/search/equalizer
- for example, download “Advanced Audio Equalizer” by viiny.com
- open the Equalizer, and enable it
- observe that it only enables for the current tab
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
it appears that every Equalizer extension is limited to a single tab
Expected result:
once enabled, the Equalizer extension should stay enabled for every tab
Reproduces how often:
100%
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
Version 1.77.101 Chromium: 135.0.7049.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
