"Graphite" accent on Ventura makes Brave web address unreadable

On the new Mac OS Ventura, I have to set the Accent on Appearance to Graphite (it’s a long story, but it HAS to be Graphite).

By doing this, the web address on Brave Browser when highlighted becomes a Dark Grey Text with Dark Blue Highlight, rendering web addresses unreadable when they are clicked on.

No other Accent colour setting on Ventura does this.

  1. Select Graphite as the Accent on System Setting > Appearance.
  2. Click a web address on Brave Browser.
  3. Feel your eyes go in pain as you see the web address as dark grey text drowned in dark blue.

This is definitely a bug that needs fixing.

Does turning Hardware acceleration off help?

Hello there @superduper1 please accept my apologies for this issue. Could you please try opening your main profile in private or guest mode to see if the pages load? If they do load, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu --> Open Guest window:

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.

Let me know if that works.
