Remove the Background gradient - There’s a black gradient/shadows at the top and bottom of the background image on a new tab, option to remove the gradient for cleaner background.
Re-sizeable widgets on new tab - The widgets on new tab are huge! Options to make them smaller.
Auto delete browsing data - Could you add a option under privacy to auto delete Browsing history (not on exit), cache, download history and cookies (maybe Leo chat history also) after a set period of time (6 months, 12 months, etc).
Picture in Picture button with controls - Add a PIP button on videos (as you hover over the screen). I know the media player allows you to do PIP which is fine if your on the browser but if you are using PWAs e.g. YouTube you have to right click twice and you have switch back to the browser to control it. If you add a PIP button for ease of use, that can be used on YouTube, Twitch, Crunchy Roll, etc and on the PIP window add media buttons.
Leo AI page content toggle - It was mentioned on a topic but I thought I’ll write it hear as well. Add a toggle to turn off or set default to off for ‘Shape answers based on the page’s contents’. When you want to ask Leo a question that doesn’t have to do the web-page you’re on you have to toggle off every-time which can be very tedious.
Can you elaborate a bit on this and/or share an image? Not sure I’m seeing what you’re seeing on the NTP.
We’re actually working on v3 of the New Tab Page right now, which will update the look, feel and some functionality of the NTP – including smaller widgets. Unclear as to whether or not widgets will be scalable – I suspect that this will be implemented down the line at some point. Issue for NTP update can be viewed/tracked here:

Yeah we have several PIP issues open right now that we are working on enhancing/solving. Can’t give any specific timeline on this but hope it helps knowing that we’re aware of these requests.

You haven’t noticed it yet, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. There is a dark gradient over every image on the new tab page. It affects Brave images and completely ruins custom images—especially the white ones. I’ve already written about it (here: Gradient over new tab images), and it seems I wasn’t the first to notice it (here: A lot of problems with background images on the new tab page).
I’ll try to find an image that makes it stand out clearly. But if you use a custom image or the Brave Backgrounds and see the gradient. It doesn’t work with solid and gradient colours.
